Presentación

El Enemigo Malbec is a joint venture between Adrianna Catena, daughter of Nicolas Catena, and Alejandro Vigil, the Chief Winemaker at Bodega Catena Zapata. The wine is produced at Piedemonte al Sur, located in the southern foothills of the Uco Valley or Luján de Cuyo in Mendoza, Argentina. The name "El Enemigo" (The Enemy) reflects the internal struggle and challenges inherent in winemaking. The project aims to craft wines of exceptional quality, drawing inspiration from the traditions of European immigrants in Argentina.

Notas de cata

El Enemigo Malbec displays rich and concentrated aromas of black fruit such as cherries and berries, along with spice, pepper, and floral notes like violets and lavender. Herbal elements may also be present. On the palate, it is full-bodied and densely concentrated, offering flavors of blackberry, black cherry, bramble fruit, and violet. It is described as sweet, silky, and big, with vanilla and toasted nuances. The wine concludes with an elegant, lengthy, and persistent finish, characterized by fine-grained, well-integrated tannins and hints of oaky spice, sometimes with an intensely savory, earth-tinged quality.
